Chipotle Steak Salad Bowl Rocks: Dallas Restaurant Review

October 8, 2009 by Kimberly · Leave a Comment

Chipotle : 0890878285I’ve never had a Chipotle restaurant meal that I didn’t love.

Their burritos are huge like FreeBirds, their salad bowls are my favorite, burrito bowls look amazing, etc.

They have chicken, steak, ground beef, barbacoa and I believe one other type of meat to choose from.

I always grab a salad bowl…they’re so filling even though it’s salad. They come with their signature Chipotle-Honey vinaigrette that’s superb.

* Tip: Don’t forget to ask for rice, and if you want both types of Read more

Melanie Stewart’s “Best Burger in Dallas” at Lone Star Volleyball Club

August 13, 2009 by Kimberly · 1 Comment

Now, as you all know, I love BBQ and I love burgers!

Etched Texas Lone Star Natural Cinnabar Sandstone Absorbent CoasterWhat you may not know is that we play sand volleyball every weekend and sometimes during the week when it’s nice weather here in Dallas – either at Lone Star Volleyball Club or at Yucatan Beach Club in Coppell, Texas – they’re right across the street from each other.

Well, when we play at Lone Star, as long as Melanie Stewart is working that day, she makes us the Best Burgers in Dallas”!

She’ll make you a Lone Star hamburger for $3.50, but it’s hard to resist adding cheese and freshly grilled bacon! Yes, I said grilled bacon! How can you resist, right?

Wow – Melanie has a special spice combination she uses especially for these burgers, which she let me see and smell, and try and guess at the ingredients.

Of course, it has salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and the like, but I CAN’T tell you the rest of the ingredients I guessed – that would give up the secret!

Who knows if Read more

Philly Connection – Philly Cheesesteak Restaurant Review

July 17, 2009 by Kimberly · Leave a Comment

Okay…Delicious, Superb, Tasty, Wow…

Philly Cheesesteak Hat - Funny Food Hats…All of these words can describe the Philly Cheesesteak my hubby picked up for me this afternoon in Dallas, Texas from Philly Connection.

Apparently, they’re a franchised chain, so there are a number of locations, but the one we went to was:

Philly Connection
6334 Gaston Ave., Dallas, Texas, 75214
Phone: (214) 828-9070

We had a Philly Cheesesteak with grilled onions and mushrooms.

It was marvelous – large enough to satisfy your hunger, tasty enough to make you come back again, and delicious enough to order over and over.

Ooey, gooey cheese with lots of thinly sliced steak.

My biggest pet peeve is Read more
