Kitchen Gardening

Kimberly is a web chef, Mother, homesteader, entrepreneur, writer, kitchen gardener, permaculture & self-sufficiency advocate.

Aside from hosting cooking shows, Kimberly has endeavored to, essentially, create a homestead of her suburban property, making use of each unique part of it.

Focusing on edible & medicinal plants, and eliminating excess work, time & money wasted on plants & trees not producing sustenance, she has transformed the lot into a “Garden of Eden” producing food & natural medicines, making it possible to feed her family healthful, organic produce.

Researching native plants, trees & what most consider to be “weeds”, as well as other plants that grow in similar climatic zones around the globe, she has opened up a world of possibilities, when it comes to producing the basic food & medicinal needs for her home.

Always improving the system, Kimberly aims to produce all the fruit, vegetables, herbs & medicine her family would need on a daily basis – and keeping in mind the possibility of a complete shutdown, as we experienced this past year, in so many ways.

Being able to produce, at least some, of our own food, would go a long way to reduce the global carbon footprint & give people peace of mind, knowing they have good, healthy food for their family, save them some money, and put into place a potentially life-saving back-up plan.
