Brussel Sprouts with Lavender Butter:
In this recipe, I’m using Neob Culinary Lavender Essential Oil & Neob Culinary Lavender.
Only a few drops of the essential oil are needed for lavender deliciousness, which is easy to dole out with the tiny bottles they provide with a dropper function.
The culinary lavender, made from the dried flower buds, is not only flavorful & fragrant, but a beautiful addition to the dish, upon serving.

Ingredients:
- 2 dozen brussel sprouts
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 – 5 drops lavender essential oil
- freshly cracked black pepper – to taste
- sea salt – to taste
- dash cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley
- sprinkle culinary lavender buds
Instructions:
- Wash brussel sprouts & trim bottoms, removing a few leaves from the outside, as necessary.
- Preheat a frying pan, on the stove top, with olive oil.
- Add butter, 2 drops lavender essential oil & brussel sprouts, to the frying pan. Season with black pepper, sea salt & cayenne pepper, to taste.
- Coat brussel sprouts in butter, oil & spices, by stirring or shaking the in the pan.
- Add water & cover with a lid & simmer/steam, on a low heat, for about 10 minutes.
- Check with a small, sharp knife for tenderness.
- Add extra water, as necessary, & return to heat, covered, until brussel sprouts are knife tender through the centers.
- Mince fresh parsley. Once brussel sprouts are tender, toss parsley into the pan.
- Add 1 – 2 extra drops of lavender essential oil, as desired, and toss brussel sprouts to combine.
- Sprinkle with culinary lavender buds, over the top.
- Serve warm.
You’ll find that the brussel sprouts have been infused with buttery lavender flavor, that found its way through the leaves.
This pairs extremely well with lamb, and could be a perfect side dish for Easter or Mother’s Day. Breathe a fresh idea into your St. Patrick’s Day menu too!
