Tonight, I have decided to BBQ some sirloin tip steaks that looked beautiful from my grocer.
It is a marinating steak, meaning you must marinate it to flavor and tenderize the meat prior to cooking. Then, you may BBQ it just the same as you would any other steak.
Check out how I marinated my sirloin tip steaks tonight in this video below:
The base of my marinade tonight is olive oil and red wine. I then added some freshly cracked black pepper, chili flakes, cayenne pepper, bay leaves, freshly chopped parsley and some Adobo seasoning.
Experiment with juices, different alcohols, beers, fruit and spices. You may even want to try and add some balsamic vinegar or another fruity vinegar in the marinade to impart some seriously delicious flavors.
As you can see, I did not add any salt, which is debatable whether or not it dries out your meat. So, why take the chance. Add salt afterward before serving the steaks after they’ve rested for 5 minutes after being taken off the BBQ.
Your marinade is as exciting or as basic as you want it to be. Be creative & have fun in your kitchen!
