I cooked up some Geovita Organic Rice & Lentil Blend today to add to our soup for lunch – or for whomever wanted some by itself.
I was pleasantly surprised & delighted that it cooked up in 10 minutes – even though it’s a mix of grains & legumes.
Furthermore, it is really delicious, low fat, sodium free, a good source of fibre – and it is non-gmo!
They even shared a recipe to use this blend with right on the bag & they direct you to their website for more tasty recipes.
After cooking it, I added a little sea salt & some butter & gave it a taste – it was flavorful just like that. Dare I say, I would enjoy this for breakfast – either seasoned sweet or savory.
The grains were light & fluffy, not sticking to each other, and it has a lovely texture & mouth-feel. Fabulous on its own, or a great addition to a soup or salad. It is a vegetarian delight.
Additionally, being easy on your system, this dish was the perfect meal to give my Mother, who hadn’t been feeling well. Equally, it was perfect choice to feed my toddler, and she kept on asking for more. A healthy, tasty idea for our entire household that day.
If you’re looking for an easy side dish or quick meal, that is healthy & delicious, this is a great option!
Where did I get this from?
I signed up with MomResource.ca last month & this was in the first box of free samples from them.
Thank you, Geovita & MomResource.ca – I may not have ever tried this high quality, healthy, nutritious product without you exposing me to it!
