Web Chef Review: Epicureal Pure Bourbon Vanilla Extract

I want to share with you a really nice product – Epicureal Pure Bourbon Vanilla Extract.

Epicureal Pure Bourbon Vanilla Extract - qualifirst.comNow, of course, baking comes to mind immediately when you think of vanilla extract, but there are so many other uses for vanilla including desserts, yogurt, drinks, with fruit, waffles, pancakes, muffins…don’t get me going!

Now, this vanilla extract may be a little cloudier than the next, and that actually makes me happy. There are vanilla bean pods inside of this lovely, glass bottle of goodness, which is likely what causes this. However, it goes to show that it’s less processed, and more rustic, which warms my heart thoroughly.

What You Need to Know About Artificial Vanilla Extract:

Web Chef Review - Epicureal Pure Bourbon Vanilla Extract - cookingwithkimberly.comIt’s very important to use REAL vanilla extract, and not the artificial varieties.

What you may not know about artificial vanilla extract is that it’s a paper by-product called vanillin.  It not only smells like vanilla, looks like vanilla and tastes like vanilla, but it isn’t vanilla. So, it’s artificially synthesized.

Chemicals are not the way I like to go when it comes to my food. I’m an au naturel type of woman, for the most part.

Yes, real vanilla extract is more expensive, but it’s well worth shelling out a few extra dollars to keep everyone happy & healthy. Also, the flavor is better with real vanilla, and you can use less of it than the artificial variety.

I did not get this at my grocer. You can find it @:
