National White Chocolate Day: Decadent Mousse Recipe

It’s a sweet one because it’s National White Chocolate Day!

Chocolate Bunnies - mevolving.comNow, it doesn’t have to be Easter time to enjoy some white chocolate, and no, white chocolate doesn’t just come in bunny form… 😉

White chocolate is very much like milk chocolate, except it doesn’t contain the chocolate liquor. This is why it is off white in color, instead of brown.

Being high in cocoa butter, it has a very mild milk chocolate flavor, and it feels very creamy in your mouth.

It has a comparatively short shelf life and becomes rancid quickly, so it should be purchased in small quantities.

When you desire a more delicate flavor, white chocolate should be your choice, for instance, in mousses, light-textured cakes or cheesecakes.

A lovely white chocolate mousse recipe follows.

A French white chocolate mousse is in order on this celebratory day. Wouldn’t you say?
