How to Cook Sauteed Cucumbers

Sauteed Cucumbers? Yup!

pickling cucumbersDidn’t you know that you can eat them cooked up, and they’re super tasty that way too? Sure enough…

Cucumbers can be enjoyed as a warm side dish, as opposed to the cool, raw ones we typically serve.

Serve alongside fish, seafood or chicken, and foods of a spicy nature, such as South Asian dishes, for a great combination.

Type: Side Dish Recipe

Serve with: fish, seafood or chicken
Prep Time: 5 min
Cook Time: 7-8 min
Serves: 2-3

  • 1 large cucumber
  • 1-2 tsp butter
  • salt – to taste

  1. In a frying pan, heat butter and sautee cucumbers on medium heat until fork tender.
  2. Season with salt & pepper, as desired.

If you’re looking for a bit of zip, add a dash or two dashes of cayenne pepper or smoked paprika powder.
