When I purchased this watermelon, it passed all of my “inspections”.
It sounded dense & watery when tapped, it was a good size, no blemishes…
Brought it home, cut into it and it looked amazing. Mostly rich, pink flesh, no seeds and minimal rind. When I bit into it, I was sadly disappointed by the lack of sweetness and slight mushiness it presented us with.
So, I decided to juice it into my fire & water juice recipe, a cancer-fighting juice recipe with a kick of ginger and chili powder. By juicing it, I can control the sugar content, my biggest complaint, by adding the sweetness I desire.
Watermelon, being an alkaline food, is also a known cancer-fighting agent, and the rind is even more so. Therefore, when you juice a watermelon, you are sure to extract ALL of its goodness, even that which you may not eat.
I promised I would leave the link to my Homemade Lemonade Recipe in this post as well. 🙂
