National Chocolate Milk Day is on our agenda today, and we’re glad it is so tasty!
Milk, or regular evaporated whole milk has 50% of the moisture content removed.
Pasteurization is a controlled heating & cooling process preventing milk born diseases, and is a necessary treatment for milk producers to perform on our milk before we purchase it.
Chocolate milk contains chocolate syrup to obtain the delicious chocolatey flavor, as well as sweeteners and various sugars, depending on the variety of chocolate milk syrup or powder you use.
As a result, the nutrients in chocolate milk are the same as whole milk, but more calories are contained in the sweeteners.
We all enjoy a taste of chocolate milk every once in a while, and for some who find the fat in whole milk offensive, the sweetness and chocolate make it much more palatable.
I like to make my own chocolate milk by melting chocolate in my milk with some sugar.
Children like the idea of stirring chocolate powder with sugar because it’s fun & tasty too.
The little cartons of chocolate milk mix are more convenient and easier to have it whenever and wherever you are.
This is a perfect item to bring to the cottage to mix into your milk.
