I’m going to let you in on a great secret…
…most people use mixes in their kitchen when baking.
Maybe they don’t use them all the time, but there are times that everyone uses a mix to save time and energy.
The great thing about mixes is you don’t have to just settle with what they give you. You can always add other flavors and ingredients to them to kick them up another notch!
That’s exactly what I did with this Fudge Banana Brownie Cake.
I simply followed the directions on the store brand brownie mix we had in our pantry. I added another egg, some vanilla extract, a bit more cocoa powder, mashed up a banana and stirred it in, topped the entire pan with a sliced up banana and baked it in the same manner as prescribed on the box.
Don’t judge people for using mixes. They may be a beginner in baking and not sure how to go about it. Mixes provide excellent “training wheels” for newbies to give them a bit more confidence before trying out recipes from scratch.
Also, everyone’s, well, busy. Don’t judge someone by their hectic schedule. At least they are trying to bake it at all, instead of picking up a box of donuts on the way home…Don’t judge! LOL
Enjoy good food, or make “okay” food better by kicking it up to your quality of liking! Yay for mixes…
