In my opinion, your morning tea is a sacred event, for lack of a better term.
Everyone likes it differently, whether it be black tea, green tea or herbal tea.
Some people go to the trouble of using loose tea leaves in the morning, but for those of us who aren’t morning people, we typically stick with tea bags simply because it’s easier with your eyes half-way shut!
Some prefer sugar, some honey and some add no sweetener. Milk? No Milk?
Here’s How I Prefer My Morning Tea:
I brew orange pekoe tea from PG Tips, and I make a whole pot with 2 tea bags since in the morning, I need some strong tea.
Water straight from the kettle at full heat steeps my tea for 5 minutes. In a large soup-style mug, I add 1 1/2 tsp of sugar and add a tiny splash of milk.
The tiny splash of milk is to coagulate the tannins, which keeps them from staining your teeth.
Isn’t it just the best thing in the world when your tea is perfect? It’s the perfect temperature, strength, sweetness & flavor? Ahhh…
To me, this cup of tea is the most important of the entire day! Enjoy it the way you like it!
