This is Day Eight of our One Month Grocery Shopping Strike! It’s also SuperBowl!
That’s right! We love football and we especially love the tailgating food we get to create and eat for this special game.
We are still doing well and eating deliciously on day 8 of our grocery shopping strike.
We are doing “upscale” SuperBowl treats.
For brunch we had creamed scrambled eggs on top of toasted Italian flax seed bread with sauteed mushrooms and onions. Wow – Delicious!!!
For the game, the hubby seems to be making something Tex-Mex, which he typically does. He is following all of our “cupboard cooking” rules too!
I am making the Grilled Lavender Lamb Loin Chops with Blueberry Balsamic Reduction Sauce. Yes, I will be grilling outside in the serious snow we’ve had in Niagara this week!
For dessert, we are having a traditional Kasper Family German Rhubarb Moos – a fruit stew of sorts.
Question: What are you eating for SuperBowl?
