I’m coming at you today with a great Jamaican food find…
Excelsior Genuine Jamaican Water Crackers are definitely worth the purchase to take home, not just for a snack, but for cooking with as well.
I’ve been looking at them in my grocer for quite some time, not sure whether or not to purchase a bag to try.
I hit a sale, and I’m glad I brought these bad-boys home. They are not only tasty, but they are super crunchy with lots of heart layers of cracker, but they are more versatile as well.

These crackers are superb for breaking up into crumbs and using for all your bread crumb needs around your kitchen…
…as binder for hamburgers or meatballs, maybe even meatloaf. Excelsior Crackers are great for dredging meats for baking or frying too.
The crackers are each stamped with the initials XLCR – for Excelsior. 😉
Delicious to eat with your soups & maybe even an Oxtail Stew, as well as for a snack with melted cheese or served with hors d’oeuvres. They are wonderful for scooping up dips and the like since they are so strong.
Excelsior crackers are really crunchy, but have very fluffy parts on the crackers with a semblance of layers inside…
In fact, they are so strong, you will need your food processor to break them up for crumbs, if you so desire.
As with water crackers, they don’t have an explosive flavor, but they are tasty just as they are.
I’m also assuming this would be a cracker you could give your toddlers to chew on. It would stand up to their rigors of moving around, and likely engage them to eat.
