Want To Try Something New? Beer of the Month Club Anyone?

Beer of the Month ClubI used to be in a wine club, but since we’ve been in Canada, I’ve been a little lax with it…I used to love getting new wines and great picks every month…I had a storehouse of fabulous wines, with the information to pair them with meals, etc.

However, I was thinking that instead of joining a wine of the month club, this time I wanted to join a beer of the month club. I just need something a little bit different in my life right now…LOL…

Beers, like wines, go with many dishes, and are specific in flavor to certain flavors or spices you would want to pair them with…

I love cooking with beer, and include it in many of my recipes, especially my Southern cooking, soups, stews and marinades. However, I am game to start using it more, especially if I have a great variety with unique flavors from the beer of the month.

So, I actually found a cool site, GreatClubs.com when I searched for beer clubs in “stumble upon” and checked it out. It seems to give you a club for everything…wine, chocolate, fruit, coffee, even pizza…Really neat!

I have never heard of a fruit of the month club before…LOL…Cool!

I love these types of clubs because it is such a neat surprise to get home and there is your box of goodies for the month…So exciting! It is the gift that keeps on giving too…I often had a lot of wine stored, so I always had a quick and interesting gift for someone on short notice…LOL…

Anyway, check it out if you’ve been needing that “je ne sais quoi” in your life… 🙂

  9. While most of the “beer of the month” clubs are awesome and legit, there have been reports of some clubs that only exist so that the breweries have a way to sell of expired beer. The members just figure they are getting new beers they have never heard of before, and by the time it gets to their door it is well past the “enjoy by” date.

Not saying that is an offensively bad thing, but most beers were not meant to age well.

  11. Beer is the world’s most widely consumed alcoholic beverage, and is the third-most popular drink overall, after water and tea.[3] It is thought by some to be the oldest fermented beverage.
