Private LA Cooking Classes

Amanda Cushman - Private Cooking Lessons Los AngelesIf you are in Los Angeles and want to learn how to cook, then you’ll be glad you hit this post!

I have found a cool place online with a fabulous teacher that will either teach a private cooking class or in a group setting.

What a marvelous opportunity to learn how to cook from a person who is passionate about food!

Now, I’ve saved you from searching “cooking classes Los Angeles” in google or yahoo, and I’m giving you a direct link to a site which will explain everything you need to know about getting started.

Lately, I’ve been going through an online cooking class program, which I enjoy greatly, but there’s nothing like that one-on-one training you can get in person with hands-on experience in the kitchen.

With the rich flavors and influences on the West Coast of the United States, cooking classes LA would be a fabulous cooking experience with marvelous introductions of combinations and local ingredients that would certainly wow the socks off anyone you would cook for.

California cuisine, in general, is very healthy in that it takes extremely fresh, local ingredients, many of which are organic.

When I think of West Coast cuisine, I think of a native Indian influence mixed with a fusion of Asian Pacific cultures and the good old American staple produce we have grown to love, but combining it in such a special and interesting way that’s like no other region in the continental US.

I have thought of teaching private cooking lessons or small groups in Southern Ontario…Wouldn’t that be fun?

Questions:

  1. Have you thought about taking cooking lessons before?
  2. Have you taken a cooking class before?
  3. If not, what has held you back?
  4. What did you like about it?

  1. Kimberly, thanks for the nice post on cooking classes.

I took several cooking classes in Los Angeles. Actually, the cooking classes by http://www.amandacooks.com is not good. The class was a disappoint since we were just given ingredients and a recipe, but basically no tips/advice. Poorly organized.

I had better experience at the following cooking classes in LA:

    http://www.hipcooks.com/
    http://www.elleacooking.com/

I hope you review these classes for your other readers.
