One Month Grocery Shopping Strike: Day 5

Back Pantry - CookingWithKimberly.comThis is Day Five of our One Month Grocery Shopping Strike!

Today was kind of a bust for me since I ran around all day doing errands, but for dinner I made the most amazing Crusted Pork Loin with Pre-Spring Salad.

The pork was in our big freezer, crust from ingredients in our pantry and we had lettuce and fresh vegetables in the fridge! Recipe to follow.

The family had 2 cans of Chunky Chicken & Corn Chowder Soup for lunch, apparently…You see what happens when I’m not home…LOL

We are doing very well at this point on our one month grocery shopping strike and have been eating fabulously – creating more diverse combinations than we would typically simply because I think it’s a challenge…

It’s been fun. In fact, tonight – the three of us competed as to who could create the prettiest plate with the meal and to see who would win the newly-coveted picture spot on the meal posts to follow…LOL

Kenney won tonight with his interesting plating of dinner!

We had a huge snowfall today and everyone seems to want to hibernate.

I have so many posts in my drafts for this blog and need to get them finished so I can share the deliciousness with you!!! I need some PG Tips Tea to keep me going!!!
