Manuka Honey’s Not Just For Baking Anymore!

honeyI know many of us bake with Manuka honey, which comes from bees that harvest their pollen from Manuka bushes in New Zealand.

It has a richer, more floral and earthy aroma and flavor, which gives it a more specialized taste than “regular” honey you get in your grocery store, like Billy Bee brand, for instance.

I use it in my tea, on toast with peanut butter!

It’s great for cooking with on chicken or in sauces.

Manuka honey’s a very versatile food, but it’s not “just” for baking anymore!

Try honey in your cosmetics and beauty products. That’s right…

Honey is not only good for your insides, it’s good for your outsides too!

I’ve been doing a lot of looking around and I’ve been noticing, more and more, that Manuka Honey is being added to everything from skin cream, to face wash, shampoo & conditioners. Unbelievable!

honeybeeIt’s chocked full of essential amino acids and truly one of nature’s precious gifts, as it has helped people externally with many problems such as ulcers, wounds, scar healing, MRSA and internally with problems like stomach ulcers, gastritis, heartburn, IBS.

It’s found to be antibacterial! Why? Because it has a “slow release” hydrogen peroxide effect. In fact, Manuka honey is the only honey they test for such a thing called the UMF or “Unique Manuka Factor” that determines it’s antibacterial activity.

  2. Manuka Honey is an amazing natural healing agent that can be used to treat a wide variety of health conditions, both internally and externally. It’s becoming the next big thing in skin care because of its exceptional healing and antibacterial properties. Blended into cream-based products make for a much more desirable application, rather than dealing with the sticky mess of applying honey directly to your skin.
