How to Cook Kimberly’s Whipped Sweet Potatoes

This recipe for How to Cook Whipped Sweet Potatoes is a nice change that’s really delicious for the Holidays.

sweet potatoMy goal was to make a sweet potato dish for Thanksgiving and Christmas that didn’t taste like the traditional style of tasting very similar to pumpkin pie filling as a side dish.

This gives you the amazing flavor of sweet potatoes, but gives it it’s own identity, not that of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves.

  3. This year, I added about 1/2 shot of St. Remy French Brandy to the mix and about 2-3 tbsp of table cream (could also use whipping cream).

Since we’re not making a pumpkin pie and have opted for lemon meringue (since it’s just my mother and me), I added a hint of freshly grated nutmeg, cinnamon and some ground ginger (about 2 dashes) to satisfy that craving.

    Wow – so delicious…

    Merry Christmas!

    Kimberly 🙂
