Wanna beat the Back-to-School Rush?
As part of the Eat Well campaign, Zannat Reza (Registered Dietitian) and Christine Cushing (TV Chef and Author) answer a question from Lauralyn Chow of Calgary, Alberta:
“Do you have any ideas for making packed lunches for those days when I’m in a rush, and I need something quick?”
Zannat and Christine share healthy and delicious ideas with us to help us be organized and send healthy offerings for our kids or older children to school.
A healthy chili, as well as healthy grab-and-go snacks are great ideas to keep everyone on-the-go, such as cheese, fruit, yogurt, crackers, cut veggies.
Protein & fiber are important to help keep your child’s energy levels up at school, or for you or your partner at work! We should all be packing healthy lunches, shouldn’t we?!
Also, try getting your kids involved in preparing & packing the lunches. The more involved they are in a process, they more interested they will be in the outcome.
These were just a few quick, healthy lunch tips that will keep everyone happy this school year.

Very good! It’s so important for children, as well as adults, to eat healthy throughout the day with foods that perk us up, instead of deflate us.
I’m so glad your daughter is enjoying her lunches, Sudipta!
