What’s a Great Substitute for Banana Extract? + Video

Cooking Tip:

Banana Extract is an awesome ingredient. However, if ever you try to search for banana extract in the stores, it’s not an easy product to find.

So, if you are in need of banana flavoring, without using mushed up bananas, and want it in liquid form, use banana liqueur…

It’s delicious! If you’re using it for baking, the alcohol will evaporate, leaving you with great flavoring.

Of course, it’s just always easier to deal with real banana flavor, but in those instances where it’s just not called for, now you have an option.

Try Galliano Banana Liqueur…It’s so good! There should be a few different choices at your local liquor store to decide between for banana liqueur, and it may even spark more ideas while you’re there!

    • Galliano is so delicious.

I’ve always loved banana flavor and using banana liqueur on desserts, etc. is a really nice way to kick things up flavor-wise!
