Golden Pear Liqueur is Delectable!

Pears Maybe it’s just me, but I haven’t seen this liqueur on the market for long…

It is a product from Hungary and it tastes amazing! It is not a well labeled bottle, but it is a rounded bottle and is distributed by Zwack Unicum PLC.

It has the taste and aroma of pear and is peach in color.

The alcohol content is 30% and it is recommended to drink on the rocks or with a few drops of lemon juice.

I would love to use this in a cheesecake or something of that nature! It would even be fantastic drizzled over ice cream! Yum!

Wow…delicious!!! You’ll have to try it!

I just wanted to recommend it to you because it is now one of my favorites!

  3. Golden Pear is a tradition in our house. We are wondering if we could glaze chicken with it or anything. It is good to drink for a celebration… very sweet and good for warming up.

    • Ruby – That would be a marvelous idea!

Honestly, it would be a tasty alternative for Asian glazes on such things as a traditional General Tso dish. I would reduce the liqueur in a sauce pan and add freshly grated ginger to it. Then at the very end when it’s boiling, I would add a slurry of 1 tbsp corn starch and 1 tbsp cold water well whisked to ensure no lumps. Bring it back to the boil and turn it off. Tasty idea!
