I need a good recipe for sweet potato bread …
November 15, 2008
Okay Amy…Sounds good…
Now, I have a Sweet Potato Spoonbread recipe that is Absolutely Delicious:
Kimberly’s Scrumptious Sweet Potato Spoonbread – http://CookingWithKimberly.com/?p=101
It is sweet, and sort of like a bread pudding consistency…
If you’re looking for a bread that rises…do you want bread for the oven or bread machine? Do you want it sweet or savory?
Thanks for the great suggestion!

mauniejames3 requested recipes that you can give away as gifts, and I responded to them:
I love to give away food as gifts! Love that! I will be posting some great ideas before Christmas for sure…
This fudge is a GREAT one ( http://CookingWithKimberly.com/?p=790 ) …Plus, I will be adding some brittle and bark recipes that are sure to please!
However, one of my faves to give for presents, since everyone’s crazy about their dogs, and they’re soooo easy to make, is homemade doggy biscuits: http://CookingWithKimberly.com/?p=309
I often will make Christmas cookies and give those away. Of course, Christmas cakes/fruit cakes are a great fave to give as gifts. I’ve even made flavored vinegars and oils in beautiful bottles.
You can combine or layer the dry ingredients to your favorite cookie recipe, cake recipe, bread recipe, bread machine recipe or muffin recipe in a large mason jar…Attached, on a card, you tell them the directions and what wet ingredients to add…I love this!
We make our own wine, so this is always a great gift…
Also, one of today’s biggest trends is to make beauty products for people made out of food or food products…I’ll be giving some great recipes for that too!
Hope that inspires you! If you have any requests in particular, let me know by posting a comment to: Desperate for a Thanksgiving Recipe – http://CookingWithKimberly.com/?p=813 (even if it’s not a Thanksgiving recipe, I’ll still get the message!!!)

I am also adding Aunt Mary’s Chex Mix – it’s a fantastic gift: http://CookingWithKimberly.com/?p=970
Hope these give you some great ideas for the Holiday season as food gifts!

I was wondering if there was a recipe for the vanilla fudge like they sell it in stores. I have had homemade vanilla fudge but it doesn’t have the same taste as the ones you can buy in candy stores.
