Today was the first time I tried these malt beverages – Poppers Silver White Nectarine flavor. They are really delicious with a great nectarine flavor and that malt beverage kick you enjoy. It’s fresh and crisp with a slightly sweet and tangy taste that’s satisfying and doesn’t interfere with the flavors of your tasty tailgating tidbits you’re eating. It’s If you would like to buy me some new and unique [ Read More ]

First of all, I must say I’m your biggest fan!!! My entire family drinks PG Tips Tea. In fact, it was introduced to my family by my English nanny when I was a baby. Her name was Doreen, and like a proper tea-drinking English nanny, she made sure she educated us about good English tea. In fact, she threw out all of our other tea boxes in the entire house [ Read More ]

Okay…So, I thought we would try a new place to get Chai Lattés in Niagara Falls today. It was suggested to us by a family member who had seen this place. It’s called Neighbour’s Café @ 7307 Oakwood Dr. @ McLeod Rd. in Niagara Falls, Ontario. I honestly hate giving bad reviews, but I want to save you the trouble, money and time if you’re looking for a great place [ Read More ]

Did you know that? Yes, you can grow your very own gourmet mushrooms at home over and over again. Mushroom patches can be started by logs already prepared or with kits you purchase. I had compiled a list of products for my new friend, Lynn Ogryzlo – author of Niagara Cooks, and figured I’d share it with the rest of the world of food lovers out there that frequent my [ Read More ]

I’ve been reviewing a fabulous, new local, Niagara cookbook by my new friend, Lynn Ogryzlo called “Niagara Cooks“. This cookbook heralds in a new way of life reminiscent of days of old – getting back to eating local food, “from farm to table”. Not only is supporting our local farmers and food suppliers good for your local economy, but it’s healthier and tastier for you too! I’m making it out [ Read More ]

My hubby and I often sneak off to Taco Cabana during the day if we need a quick meal while we’re working on fixing up a property or simply running around doing errands. For lunch today, that’s exactly what we did. We stopped at the Taco Cabana in Rockwall, Texas (Dallas) off I-30 by the lake. It sure looked like a nice location and everything was clean and new. I’ve never had a Chipotle restaurant meal that I didn’t love. Their burritos are huge like FreeBirds, their salad bowls are my favorite, burrito bowls look amazing, etc. They have chicken, steak, ground beef, barbacoa and I believe one other type of meat to choose from. I always grab a salad bowl…they’re so filling even though it’s salad. They come with their signature Chipotle-Honey vinaigrette that’s superb. * Tip: Don’t [ Read More ]

My hubby and I made it out to Bahama Buck’s last night for a tasty drink after our dinner. We’d never been there before and didn’t know what to expect. For those of you who haven’t been there before, they only serve cold or frozen drinks, ices and some ice cream stuff. Since we ate some fried food for dinner, we decided to get something with less fat and decided [ Read More ]

We travel a lot and we often drive. So, that means stopping at rest areas and gas stations where we often grab a few snacks and drinks. This past week, my hubby and I chose a couple bags of popcorn, Just Honest Caramel Popcorn and Just Honest Butter Popcorn from the Rocky Mountain Popcorn Company. My choice, the caramel flavor, was really fabulous! Seriously, it tasted just like homemade caramel [ Read More ]

My hubby and I wanted to order a pizza last night from Pizza Hut on Pleasant Run in Lancaster, Texas. So, as we’ve recently started to do when ordering pizza, we tried to order it online with their automated system. It told us that this particular location was not yet set up to accept internet orders. So, we proceeded to submit our order over the phone. The guy answered and [ Read More ]

I often try different brands of jerky so I can find the varieties and flavors I like the best because not all jerkies are created alike. I tried this Peppered flavor Natural Buffalo Jerky from Jerky Direct and I think it’s, honestly, my new favorite jerky. I’ve never been crazy about “moist” jerky – it just seems odd to me. I enjoy a good “chew” with my dried jerky. This [ Read More ]

I had the opportunity to try Land Shark Lager yesterday, which is apparently affiliated with Jimmy Buffett’s “Margaritaville” brand. On the bottle, it says it’s “Original Island Lager” – and after you take one sip of it, you’ll understand why. It’s a light lager that tastes similar to a combination between a Corona with lime and a Bud Light with a twist of orange. It’s light, slightly sweet and flavorful! [ Read More ]
