A Submarine, Hero, Hoagie, Grinder Day Recipe: That’s a Mouthful!

This national food holiday is a mouthful – it’s National Submarine, Hero, Hoagy, Grinder Day today!

poboyA submarine sandwich, hero, hoagy, poboy, zep, bomber & grinder are similar in that they represent wide, long rolls, which are filled with cheese, deli meats, toppings and dressing. Deli meats may vary.

For flavors to blend, sandwiches are compressed tightly in foil, and allowed to sit wrapped for about 1/2 hour, so they compress nicely.
