Taco Cabana in Rockwall, Texas: Dallas Restaurant Review

South of the Border Mexican and Taco Seasoning Large Family SizeMy hubby and I often sneak off to Taco Cabana during the day if we need a quick meal while we’re working on fixing up a property or simply running around doing errands.

For lunch today, that’s exactly what we did.

We stopped at the Taco Cabana in Rockwall, Texas (Dallas) off I-30 by the lake.

It sure looked like a nice location and everything was clean and new.

We ordered our usual favorite – Bean and Cheese tacos with green salsa for me, and red salsa for Kenney.

In general, we love Taco Cabana’s refried beans because they’re so flavorful and smooth and the tortillas are so fluffy, warm and fresh. However, today, they had absolutely no flavor whatsoever…it’s like they forgot to season them at all.

So, I loaded them up with the green salsa, and that had no flavor at all either…

Thinking it was just me or something wrong with my tastebuds, I took a sip of my Venti Tazo Chai (all milk, no water) from Starbuck’s and it was fabulous…So, it wasn’t just me.

I tried my next bean and cheese taco with the red salsa, and it was the same thing…No flavor!

I’m not sure what the problem was today, but I wasn’t satisfied at all with the quality of the food I purchased today from this location.

I often grab 1 barbacoa taco too, but didn’t this time. I wonder what that would have been like…
