Itt’s Thai – A Restaurant Review from St. Catharines, Ontario

March 24, 2009 by Kimberly · Leave a Comment

Art Poster Print - Sampans, Thai Canal - Artist: - Poster Size: 20 X 16That’s not a typo…LOL

There is a restaurant in St. Catharines, Ontario called “Itt’s Thai“!

My mother and sister wanted Thai, but didn’t feel like driving from the Pen Center (a mall in St. Kitt’s) over to Spicy Thai and heard there was one over on Hartzel Rd.

They told me it was super clean and very nice inside. The waiter was helpful and friendly too.

Most importantly, the TASTE!

They brought me food home, as they thought I’d be hungry. They ordered Coconut Chicken Soup – similar to my recipe for it posted a few days ago – and it was phenomenal. A little spicier than what you’d get at Spicy Thai, and I like it spicy! LOL…The flavor was fabulous!

The red shrimp curry was really tasty and served with steamed rice. Now, I think I’m just partial to Spicy Thai’s variety, but this was very, very good! I’ve never met a curry I didn’t like!

Their Pad Thai was probably Read more

New Favorite for Pizza and Chicken Wings in Niagara Falls, Ontario

March 24, 2009 by Kimberly · Leave a Comment

Pizza Chef Poster PrintI must admit…when I order Pizza in Niagara Falls, Ontario, I usually resort to Pizza Hut – I love their crust.

If I’m looking for cheap, Little Caesar’s has the $5 Hot N’ Ready – then you “doctor it up” at home yourself!

I was craving pizza the other night and wanted to order Pizza Hut…However, they told me their delivery guy went home sick. Glad they did that as you wouldn’t want a guy with the flu delivering your pizza and wings, right?

So, I decided to live a little…open the phone book and try someone new…I didn’t have anything to lose except my serious pizza craving!

I perused the Niagara Falls and area yellow pages under pizza and found a place very close to us that sounded good, had much more to choose from than pizza and wings, with a full menu in the book and special deals already listed for you – Papa’s Pizzeria Eatery & Bar.

Plus, they’ll deliver until 4 am every day – difficult to find in our area, that’s for sure!

I also love a place that has more interesting pizza toppings than the usual…And they had honey garlic wings (I won’t order wings that aren’t honey garlic).

The total for a good sized 8 slice pizza with 3 toppings and 20 wings cost us Read more

Great Substitute for Banana Extract

March 19, 2009 by Kimberly · 2 Comments

Cooking Tip:

If ever you try to search for banana extract in the stores, it’s not an easy product to find.

So, if you are in need of banana flavoring, without using mushed up bananas, and want it in liquid form, use banana liqueur…

It’s delicious! If you’re using it for baking, the alcohol will evaporate, leaving you with great flavoring.
