Kimberly’s Whipped Sweet Potatoes
October 30, 2008 by Kimberly · 5 Comments
My goal was to make a sweet potato dish for Thanksgiving and Christmas that didn’t taste like the traditional style of tasting very similar to pumpkin pie filling as a side dish.
This gives you the amazing flavor of sweet potatoes, but gives it it’s own identity, not that of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves.
Try it, You’ll just love how light and fluffy they are…Melt in your mouth!

An Easy Alternative to Goji Berry Green Tea
The newest craze in healthy food is the Goji Berry…
Goji berries are more scientifically known as Wolfberries or Western Snowberries. (It’s a long story that I won’t cover here as to why they are referred to as Goji now…LOL…Check it out on Wikipedia.)
Being that Dried Goji Berries are full of nutrients, powerful antioxidants, and 4 Polysaccharides (complex carbohydrates), they are very healthy…
However, since green tea is so very healthy and a present health food craze too, tea companies have combined the two into Goji Berry Green Tea, which is often very expensive.
It’s frustrating when you want to take part in something healthy, and it’s just too expensive to do…
I have found a fabulous alternative…
Green tea, itself, is relatively inexpensive to purchase, so get your favorite green tea.
Brew a pot of it with Read more

How to Wash Your Wooden Spoons
October 20, 2008 by Kimberly · 4 Comments
Firstly, I love to use wooden spoons and utensils to cook!
Now, I watched a health spot on the news the other night that exposed the dangers of putting your wooden utensils in the dishwasher to wash.
Although you would think that you are sanitizing them, you are actually opening up the pores of the wood where bacteria from your dishwasher likes to hide.
Then, the wood cools after washing and it closes the pores of the wood, bacteria inside.
Yuk! Who knew?
How Do You Wash Your Wooden Utensils Then?
Well, you are to wash Read more

I had a photo shoot this past Tuesday, and some cool shots came out of it.
The make-up artist, Stacey Estabrooks, was making me into a “crazy doll”…
I think they turned out really cool and really creepy!
However, I don’t think you should eat these poisoned apples…LOL…

Atlanta Bread Company – Restaurant Review
October 14, 2008 by Kimberly · 2 Comments
I am flying again today and passing through the Atlanta, Georgia airport again.
Well, I’ve eaten at the Atlanta Bread Company twice now, and actually had the same sandwich this time as I did last time.
I didn’t remember that my last sandwich was from there until I tasted it.
I had the California Avocado sandwich with no onions (because I’m traveling) or provolone cheese (just because I’m not crazy about it).
The sandwich is on a cheesy focaccia-type bread and has tomato, lettuce, huge avocado slices and a creamy dill-type dressing.
The only thing I do not like about this sandwich, and it is what reminded me I had this sandwich before, is the Read more

You have heard me sing the praises of The Blue Goose Mexican Cantina’s food…Unbelievable!
Whenever I go somewhere I’ve had something amazing to eat, I almost always order the same thing…Why try to fix something that’s not broken?
However, we went to the Blue Goose just to eat an appetizer and have some Happy Hour Margaritas…

Central Market – Store Review
While visiting Dallas this time, I finally got the privilege to visit Central Market.
Central Market is a whole-foods, organic-type grocery store/market. That’s a mouthful, right?
Well, it is. Not only does it have the prettiest, cleanest, freshest & healthiest-looking produce I’ve seen in quite some time, it is sooo much more.
The store is filled with fantastic & “obscure”, mom & pap’s-type organic brands of every kind. The store is aisle after aisle of new, different and tasty-looking foods.
Where we first walked in they have a self-serve area where you can pack your own freshly made, organic beauty products, including bath salts, facial masks, lotions, soaps and the list goes on…
Okay, let’s talk about their selection of meat, fish and poultry…Wow…as far as the eye can see down an entire side of the market. Meat of Read more
