Well, I picked the Famous Famiglia Pizzeria in Terminal A of the Washington Dulles Airport… I probably should have had the “famous” pizza, but instead felt like pasta…I got penne with tomato sauce and a garden salad… Well, the penne with sauce was just that…penne with sauce…it was ok…it [ Read More ]

Washington, Dulles Airport – Terminal A: I am a very picky Chai Latte drinker…as you know from a previous post (William’s Coffee House)… However, as I was stuck on a delay at the Dulles Airport, I wanted a Chai Latte something fierce. The only coffee place I saw was the Mayorga Coffee House, and I was still reluctant to try, being so disappointed in the past with subpar chai teas… [ Read More ]

I love Calamari! So, usually, I love how Olive Garden makes their calamari, but the last 2 times I had it, I felt that the batter was somewhat different. Also, I think they have changed their creamy aioli-type sauce…it tastes more parmesany or something…I’m not as crazy about this appetizer as I was before… My husband wasn’t too sure if the recipe had changed or not, and he quite enjoyed [ Read More ]

Okay, Kenney just brought me take-out on his way home from a place called “Seafood Shack” in Dallas. He’d never been there before, but decided to give it a chance. Kenney actually brought me home 1/2 dozen fresh oysters on the half shell packed in ice. I have never experienced oysters on the half shell for take-out. They were extremely fresh, not fishy at all, and came with all the [ Read More ]

Okay…I often have a problem choosing what refreshing bevy I’d like to drink BBQ-side or Pool-side…So, I came up with this delightful hybrid…LOL What is a Margareza? It’s 1/2 Margarita, 1/2 Cerveza (Mexican word for Beer) Ingredients: 1/2 beer 1/2 margarita… . Instructions: 1. Take a frosty beer glass or mug (or large Margarita glass) and moisten the rim with a wedge of lime. 2. Salt the rim with Margarita [ Read More ]
